International students in london

hey, what are the chances for an international student (studying in the UK for bachelors) in an EB or pe in London. Do firms sponsor visa (ie. tier 4 to tier 2) or will it be difficult as in the US?

What are the other things to know about?

thnx

People keep saying that competition is less after Brexit. Are there any numbers or sources for this? Or is this just conjecture?

If a UK bank is willing to sponsor someone from India, why wouldn't they be willing to sponsor someone from Sweden, Germany or Belgium? Plus, EU candidates still have more EU languages than people from outside of the EU (if relevant for the role).

Our firm sponsors qualified and competent people in London, regardless of where they are from. And Brexit had nothing to do with it.

It's pretty common for EB to sponsor visa in London, it wouldn't put you in disadvantage and its def easier than in the US. They also have a dedicated team responsible for that (or they would pay someone else to help with the process).

However, you might find it comparatively difficult to find a PE job as 1) they are generally smaller in size/sub-scale with limited labour in the HR function so wouldn't be able to sponsor  2) they probably wants someone with other European language skills. Advice fo you 1) make sure you're competitive 2) go for the larger / international funds

International student going into EB here. Visa process is seamless and my sponsorship status was not a hindrance during applications at all.

Can't speak much to PE since haven't explored that at this stage but would think that what the above commenter said holds true
