Is This A Terrible Idea?

I am taking the GRE in 3 hours. I have done no studying at all except to see what the format of the test is.
I get my scores sent to 4 colleges for free with it.

Short term goal is go to MS program to help my resume and get a better job so I can eventually get an MBA.

I have been studying for the GMAT but decided to take the GRE last minute. My idea is that I'll send the 4 free schools to some of my lower option schools.

If I do well then I'll send the scores to the other colleges.
If I do bad then continue studying for the GMAT and take that and at least my top schools wont have bad GRE scores.

Schools I am planning to apply to are:

Cornell MIHRM
U Tenn MHRM
Texas A&M MS HR
Villanova MSHR

UNCG Master of Information Technology and Management
Buffalo MSIS-100
Marshall Technology Management

Syracuse Master of Finance

University of IOWA --MBA
UGA--MBA
Boston College-MBA
U Minn-MBA
UNC -MBA
Vanderbilt-MBA

you got programs of all kinds. I say keep digging and the strong ones will eventually come out.

I took acceptance letters from places like 3rd tier to big 10 members, etc and took the 2nd best choice when my first choice was ivy... so it takes time. PM if you got questions.

Me thinks your choices are too diverse. You have absolutely no idea what you want to do, and you are approaching your applications shotgun style and hoping you land on a bulls eye. I assume you think it will lead to money. My advice that I learned the hard way is to not pursue something because of money. Pursue it because it is what you want to do. Especially, when it is the case such as yours that it is not entirely apparent that it will lead to money. I.E. you aren't doing IB to PE to B school then back. You're trying to manufacture a career from what I am guessing is nothing, or your picks wouldn't be so diverse.

I think that for whatever program you get into, at the end you'll wonder why you even spent the time/money. Figure out what you want to do(you can't possibly be interested in all of these). Motivation and a plan is the way to get through a graduate program. It's awful having spent four years in undergrad, and then watching your friends do a lot of cool shit while they work, but you can't because you're broke and studying. Just my two cents, but good luck.
