Kenan-Flagler w/ nearly full ride vs. Ross

Just wanted opinions on what would be better long-term. I was accepted into KF with almost a full ride and at Ross with nothing. I want to go into either corp fin in a treasury role or IBD.

Background: Ugrad at Indiana University, 2.5 years work exp. in commercial banking.

Thanks

I would probably take Ross, but that depends on where you want to live post MBA. KF is pretty solid for getting IBD in the south, but with Ross you have more of a chance for NY or Chicago. I'm not sure about Treasury recruiting at KF, but I know Ross has quite a few companies recruiting for those type of roles.

Also depends how much debt you are willing to take on. Congratulations on both admits!

I think KF is a little less--with its online MBA and Duke sitting by it.

I thought another article said that if you're top 15.. then you dont need to worry about school as much--everyone will get same internships as top firms if one has a great resume & package.

However, I heard Ross does have that pull in Midwest & NYC. strong alums. I'd rank Ross right after Berkeley Haas for Public MBA. Not sure if KF is on the par as UCLA Anderson or UVa Darden.

Checking with alums will help--have they start calling you about your offers to grab you yet?

@shuang19 All these schools are going with online MBA's. NYU and CMU have online MBA's. This is unfortunately a bad trend that can't be stopped. It's too much of a money maker for these schools.
