LSE MSc Finance vs LSE MSc Finance & Economics?
To be honest, none of the finance programs LSE offers are as rigorous as Cambridge MPhil Finance. But still, LSE is ranked higher and also top employers recruit there. Why is that? I looked up their MSc Finance & Economics program(is considered the academically hardest one), they basically offer very few finance & economics courses along with research project/dissertation which is not so rigorous in my opinion. I appreciate recruitment activities after graduating, however I don't prefer them over academic rigor. I've applied to both(Cambridge & LSE), interviewed by LSE. I just want to make sure I'm not making wrong choice. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Why not Oxford or UCL? I'm certain that Oxford is challenging especially their financial economics and computational and mathematical finance program.
Pesonally I didn't believe that LSE is worth 30k a year. I mean Oxford is 35 but if you ask me the difference is enormous
