Not sure about the program, but I think an MSF is generally better than a MA in Econ. If you do an Econ MA, make sure you have some experience, internships, and/or do some networking.

Brandeis has good networking opportunity and an excellent alumni connection to finance.

BoxerRebellerWhat are peoples thoughts on potential careers? its not a target school but the program is good. Likelihood of MBB or IB??

What do you mean? It's not a target school but GS and Citigroup recruit students from there?

I meant that compared to other Boston area schools, its not an active recruiting place. I have heard from alumni that it is possible to be placed in these areas but was wondering how often this is the case from those working in those areas already.

I dont know about specific firms but I would be comfortable securing a job at MM and then working onto bigger firms.

It seems like Brandeis IBS has been climbing the ranks over the years. My only concern is that it's only known in the northeast.

Dublin- Not sure if you can answer this, but from your experience with Brandeis alum, do they feel that the school was successful in job placement?
