Masters - Profile Evaluation
Hey guys,
Would really appreciate if someone could provide feedback on my chances at a Masters program in Europe:
Academics:
GMAT 710 (Q44/V42/IR7/AWA4)
CFA Level 3 Candidate
GPA 5.7/7 - BComm
2 Internships:
1. Investment Banking at BNP/HSBC/StanC
2. Audit at a Big 4
Extracurriculars:
Volunteer at an organisation that provides food to underprivileged children, along with teaching them.
From India. Would be looking to apply to LBS MFA, HEC MIF, Bocconi MSc Finance and LSE MSc A&F. Would also appreciate inputs on if retaking the GMAT has any merit in my case and would lead to better admission outcomes
Thanks a lot for your time
Good shot at LBS MFA, can only really speak to that program.
Not sure what your grades transfer to under the UK System. GMAT is in line, and internships are good enough.
Should get an interview.
GMAT is in line - but a higher score is required from Indian applicants. I don't remember if its LBS MFA or LBS MFIN that also has GMAT waivers for candidates that have passed CFA L2.
In-general good profile for all of the above programs.
Thanks for your responses guys, good to know that I’m not wasting my time applying.
If anyone else has any additional inputs that they might want to provide, would love to hear.
I think your internship references are going to be very important. I would focus on that.
Why not LSE MSc Finance?
Still reading up on the course, however based on preliminary research coursework seems largely similar to MSc A&F with a few distinctions, while course fee is lower. Understand that there might be minor differences when it comes to recruiting from the two courses
Hi, differences are not minor between the LSE MSc in Finance and MSc in Finance & Accounting. Really go for the MSc in Finance, you'll have much better opportunities, recognition and a better salary ;)

chin up champ!
Thanks man. Guess I’ll try again next year after improving my stats and essays
Is it appropriate to ask for feedback on the rejection in these cases?
Doesn't hurt to try, but unlikely to receive any response. Keep your head up, I am sure you will get a placement worthy of your profile!

Hi everyone, I'm the person who made the original post. I got rejected by HEC, LBS as well as LSE last time around. I suspect its because I applied very late, but I'm gonna try again early this year, and will let everyone know how it goes
Good luck buddy!
Would you mind DM’ing me?
I will also be applying to the same programs next year.
Ask your questions here if possible, might help others that come across this post
Hey guys I made the original post. Got into Bocconi MSc Finance !
Hey Congrats. I'm applying to Bocconi Msc Finance too. Did you submit the Kira video interview? Says its an additional element.
I did submit the Kira interview, was unsure too whether to do it when I was applying. Worked out for me fortunately, but might be better to research more on if it’s necessary to submit it
Update - Also got into WHU Master in Finance
go to WHU vs Bocconi. Salaries are incredible in Germany.
Thanks for your input. I was leaning towards Bocconi vs WHU as I was of the opinion that Bocconi has a better reputation for London recruiting. I would assume I would not be targeting recruiting either in Germany or Italy as I speak neither German nor Italian, so the salary in Germany would be a non-consideration. Also waiting to hear back from HEC today which is my first choice
Anyone have thoughts on MSc Finance at Bocconi vs WHU?
