Mba at 35 post military?

So I recently made the decision at the age of 25, due to lack of solid and satisfying career choices, to apply for ocs in the US navy. One of the slots I'm putting in for is pilot. Based on my test scores and the last few boards high selection rate for pilot ( 80 to 95% selection) I believe I will be picked up for this. Personally, I find this to be an awesome opportunity.

That being said, told myself at some point in my life I would go back and try to get a t25 mba. The issue is, pilot is a minimum of a 10 year commitment. This means by the time I get out I will be in the 35-36 range. A lot of top mba's love ex military, but also have a bias against older candidates. What mba's do you think would be more friendly towards this type of applicants, and what type of jobs can I get out of school. I know it's a bit old, but I have always wanted to work in IB. I have been told consulting is a bit easier on older applicants. If all else fails I become the guy from step brothers and work in sales/ corporate strategy with Boeing/ a major airline or private military contracting. Would love to get wso advice on this

I had a RETIRED Navy pilot in as an MBA classmate (he was 42-44) and he did just fine. There are plenty of MBA programs actively looking for vets, and employers looking to get us after our MBAs. Of course the future is unclear and I can't speak to IB (he took a great F500 role) but you don't need the MBA to work in Boeing and those types of roles.

Don't worry about this now, focus on getting through OCS with your pilot contract intact (so don't fall off the Ocourse or anything) AND get out of flight school (plenty of people don't)....who knows, when its all said and done you may end up serving 4 years in logistics/supply chain because you twisted your knee on a pack run......

appreciate the insight. I just wanted to make sure it's still possible. There is a huge bias against age it seems in these forums. ( mostly cause there are a lot of young 23 year olds already making 6 figure salaries....keep up old men lol) I'm definitely focused on OCS. I have been putting in a lot of running. I'm stuck in hurry up and wait. 2 more months till the next selection board. How do you like life on the civilian side in consulting compared to your life in the military?
