MD/MBA Typical Exits

I am considering getting an MD/MBA and would like to know the common exits. I've heard various things from healthcare consulting and investment banking to biotech venture capital and life sciences groups at PE firms. I want to know the most reasonable and standard post-grad options for an MD/MBA. Thanks.

Either getting an MD or a PhD is supposed to be very helpful and is a common background for people working in life sciences / biotech buy-side roles. I am just a little confused about the pathway from MD to these roles because I don't really know if they hire out of MD or even MD/MBA programs.

True to an extent BUT many of those doctors have published research and matched into competitive residencies. Most complete at least an intern year before 'dropping out' and going into the HC investing space. All of them usually have top degree pedigree especially at hedge funds / asset management focusing in biotech / life sciences etc. Orbimed's investment partners w/ MDs are from incredible clinical / research backgrounds with top notched degrees.

PE? All the docs I know in that space are operators turned investors (sold a healthcare provider practice to a PE firm and then switched over to the investment side, usually mid-career physicians who've partnered with dozens of other physicians while growing their company via rollups / opening new clinics). Know a few and some have definitely become very wealthy ($10M+, some maybe $30M+).
