Programme structure

MSc in Energy Finance and Markets runs for one academic year, starting in mid-September. The programme applies principles of financial and resource economics to prepare students for careers in old and new energy markets and industries, as well as the public sector.

During the course of the programme, you will undertake eight core courses, five in Semester 1 and three in Semester 2. These are the foundation upon which the whole MSc is built and ensures a common basis of knowledge across the different areas. In Semester 2, you also begin to tailor your studies towards your career interests, through the selection of your option course.

Finally, your MSc dissertation brings all of the year's learning together in a piece of work unique to each student.
