MSc Real Estate Finance for IB?

Hi all,

I've been accepted to a MSc in Real Estate Finance at LSE, but I'm unsure whether this is the right move. My initial plan was to complete the master and apply for jobs within IB, where perhaps the RE coverage groups would be the most relevant.

My concern now is that although I have 2 years work experience after my finance undergraduate degree - it's not really that relevant for IB. Without relevant work experience and internships, and combined with a rather auxiliary degree, I'm concerned that I might struggle to get interviews.

Would you recommend waiting one year, and apply to a straight finance program? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
