MSF DECISION : George Washington U. or Brandeis U.
Hi,
I am admitted by two universities, the GWU and the Brandeis U..
Now, I am in a dilemma of accepting whose admission.
Could anyone give me some advice ?

I'd personally pick GWU since I love being in DC. Brandeis might be good for you since they have an international focus. Which one is cheaper all in for you to attend?
The international focus that Brandeis highlights truly attracts me. However, I'd prefer being in the urban area like DC. That the reason why I cannot make the decision.
I am an international student so do not know exactly the two schools' reputation in the US. Which one has the higher reputation?

If the all in price is about the same I would go with GWU. There will be tons of international groups because of the nature of DC and you'll be happier with the location. Unless cost is really different that would be my recommendation.

What area of finance are you targeting? Also the gw program is like 48 credits.
I am targeting corporation finance but do not exclude other areas. However, I find that the GWU does not set any specialization or track in its curriculum. That's what I concern.
How about the MSF program at the Brandeis U.? Does anyone have comment on it? Thanks.
If you are an international student - do not forget to take into account that 80% of jobs in DMV area is either federal or requires security clearance...I would think Brandeis would offer more career opportunities for int. students.

I think so. Compared with DMV area, Boston may offer more career opportunities but I reckon it's also difficult for an int. student with a MSF degree to find a job even in Boston so it is highly probable that I will come back to the Asia-Pacific region after completing my master study.
BTW, do you know what area of finance the most GW graduates work in ?

I think, most of them work in corp. fin and Big4 consulting (mostly federal)...Some portion goes to work in BB banks, GWU is a semitarget university for some of them.
GWU. It appears to be much more selective going by the info on their website (gmat scores, etc.)
I'd go GW out of these two options.
