MSF: WUSTL vs UIUC vs UT Austin
Hi guys,
Between WUSTL and UIUC, which one will give me the best shot to work in US after MSF? (I'm from Singapore). I target MBB, IBD, and consulting. Much appreciate your insight!

I'm from a sister school of UT so I obviously advise UT. However, I've heard great stuff from WUSTL.
It's a solid school, but absolutely zero prestige. Dallas is pretty much the only place you could ever land a job fromer I'm graduating next year so I will be applying them. Aiming at insurance brokerage (less competition, good pay, Dallas has tons of top brokerages,I find insurance interesting)
I use the ranking system that UT is the gold standard in Texas. In Texas, UT has a bigger name and impact than most lower ranked top 10's and ivies. That's why I personally said UT > WUSTL
What MSF rank do you use? In FT and financialengineering.net version, WUSTL's rank is above UT
Both of those ranking are crap. The programs are basically comparable. WUSTL has been around longer so abstractly you could give them the edge. WUSTL will place in the Midwest (think Chicago) as well as new York. UTA is going to be Houston / Dallas.
UTA or WUSTL. Pick the school based on cost and campus feel. Both will get you a great career, but placement locations will be different.
Where is WUSTL's main placement? I believe UTA will target Texas
Most of my class ended up in New York but the placements were fairly diverse. WUSTL has a strong presence in NY and in the Midwest.
