Williams and Amherst (Targets) > Middlebury (Semi) > Bowdoin (Low Semi) > Everything else (Low semi to high non-target)

Yea the top LACs can be great feeders. You mentioned you were an athlete, in that case, Williams, Amherst, or even Middlebury will be smooth sailing for recruitment.

I go to A/W. every alum i've spoken to has received my email/call, been willing to chat. Idk if that's the case anywhere else besides Dartmouth (maybe Princeton idk). it's also very calm. I know at least 1-3 heads going to each EBs (EVR/LAZ/PJT/CVP/MOE/GUGG) BBs (GS/MS/JPM) and a couple UMM buyside firms.

Two main disadvantages are 1) placement will overall be less than Northwestern/UChicago/Georgetown-esque schools and may make you double think. You won't see KKR/Blackstone out of undergrad as often as those schools. 2) depending on A/W, one of them is super well known for nepo and DEI is def a consideration esp for BB. but that's the case anywhere

I transferred from a middle-ish NESCAC to a target, but you should be fine if you get serious with recruiting and technical prep early.
