NYU Stern v Cornell Dyson Undergrad
Thoughts on which school to choose for BB/EB? Stern sounds like a better choice due to location - not exactly sure if there is a difference between placements. Out of State both schools, similar cost of attendance with full pay.
Both schools are targets for NYC recruiting. Stern is slightly better for finance by rankings and much older than Dyson. Dyson is a new school at Cornell that started less than a decade ago. You can't go wrong with either for IB recruiting so would base the decision on other factors such as location, interest in attending, and other factors that are important for your college experience.
dyson per-capita placement is crazy, and selectivity is 4-5% with a 170 people per class.
Dyson.
Dyson. Stern is only higher in gross placement because its a bigger school. Going to Cornell will get you more and better looks.
According to who? Its the same per capita placement and Dyson sends like 0 to HF/PE
Cornell sends 1.5x-2x to BB/EB every year despite being half the size of NYU (Dyson being 1/3 of Stern). Main downside being you're in Ithaca and not Manhattan. Go to Cornell, lock in for recruiting Freshman and Sophomore years, and go abroad your Junior year.

Look you can't go wrong with either, just wanna explain the blatant misuse of per capita recruiting numbers to signify which one's better. High Finance recruiting at NYU is highly concentrated at Stern, it's highly difficult to get into the circle if you're from another school (though there are kids who get in from CAS). At Cornell its more or less fluid, kids with PP&E/Econ/Applied Math/PoliSci degrees can way too easily get Front Office roles at BB/EB/PE, cause they ARE on a whole another level than NYU ones (same with Penn). Ergo, giving you a higher per capita on most datasets which use the whole Uni as a base. If you use only Stern as the base in case of NYU and add all the other ones in case of Cornell, its more or less the same. Moreover, no one's gonna turn you down till the mid/final rounds if your from undergrad at either of these unis. You should look over fit, whether you like competetiveness over colab, skyscrapers over nature, absence vs presence of college experience. In terms of student quality both schools are more or less alike (at least statistically, since they boost the same SAT median + the same acceptance rate)
