This is a stupid question but what's the day to day attire for guys in NYC IB scene? Interned virtually last year so have no clue. Heard that it's usually dress shoes, shirt and pants, no blazer/tie but can someone confirm so I can cop a new wardrobe

Dress shoes, shirt and pants. Blazer and tie wouldn’t kill you on the first day. Always good to make an impression
Don't do blazer and tie. Ppl will think you are a nerd unless its an exceptional suit.
Dress well the first week, after that wear whatever tf you want. Life is too short to be spent appeasing others. You got IB on your resume, you can literally do any job so you have zero reason to ever worry in any job. It won't be hard to find a different one.
Would this approach fly even in sweaty ass groups? Feel like seniors would get irked if an intern can't even throw on a tie on their first day? Or am I tripping?
Btw facial hair still a no go? I look 12 without my well-trimmed and thick/full beard..
Your tripping. Do pants with no blazer. Tie is up to you but simple business casual is fine.
For facial hair, shaved is playing it safe but I say do wtf you want.
