OSU Fisher School of Business

I'm looking to transfer to OSU Fisher for the Spring 2022 semester to continue my path as a Finance student. Right now I am a Sophomore at another university where I find myself unhappy, I've tried to give it the benefit of the doubt from covid but this is not where I want to be for the next 2-3 years so that's why OSU.

If anyone can give me insight into OSU or Fisher School of Business in general I would really appreciate that.

Recommendations on nightlife, activities, the city of Columbus as a whole, clubs, etc.

1. You will be a junior there during your first year? Or are you planning on repeating sophomore year. if it's the former, then my point stands because recruiting is largely over at that point.

2. If it is the latter, A large portion of recruiting is leveraging school resources and understanding the process specific to your school. You will struggle with this. You don't know profs, you don't know the upperclassmen, you aren't in any of the clubs, many of which may reject you if you apply as a transfer sophomore because once again, you don't know anyone. You are still not in OSU's honor program (Called Fisher Futures I think, and almost all the kids who break in go from there). Even Fisher Futures has middling placement. It's definitely not a target. Not sure where you're getting "impossible" from, because I didn't say that. I said "near zero". https://fisher.osu.edu/careers-recruiting/students/undergraduate-studen… Check out fisher futures and their not-so-great placement. Just a reminder that you're going to be BEHIND all those kids in terms of the recruitment process. Good luck. Of course you can break in if your dad is a partner at Blackstone, but otherwise, don't get your hopes up. I hope you will succeed, but you're kidding yourself if you think this is likely. You'd need to be an extraordinary candidate and I mean truly extraordinary.
