Oxford and LSE with A*A*A*A predicted but bad GCSEs

Hello,

I am currently in year 12 I am predicted an A* in economics, psychology, geography and a A in maths I want to apply to Oxford buisness and management and LSE geography and economics course.

however my GCSEs are not great I got a 7 in geography,English lit and rs and a 6 in computing, maths, biology, chem, physics and English language. LSE and Oxford say they want GCSES to be at least grade 7+

do I still hold a chance?

Only thing you can do is wait. We can’t predict what LSE admissions office will tell you. Decisions should be out by April. So try ask people who gotten offers recently.

You will find more help on The Student Room. Although, as a quick aside, if you went to an underperforming school where you did your GCSEs and your results are significantly above the median results for your school, then the holistic admissions office may yet extend you an offer. If you received results that were the average for your school, then maybe not.
