Path to immigrate my 15-year-old son to UK or US via banking occupation

I am Chinese, living and working in Shanghai and my son is studying in an IB school in Shanghai (grade 9, MYP). While continuing in the same school for IBDP in next 3 years and with dream school either G5 or Ivy on Finance or Econ, I'd ask your valuable input and advise, taking the everchanging international situations into context, what would be the most realistic and smart pathway to realize the dream in both university and career on banking, residing ideally in UK or US, or shall my son back to China after undergrad? ....thank you.....

Take this advice with a grain of salt, as it is not my personal experience but rather some acquantainces' experiences.

For the US, your son could do this Enroll into a STEM undergrad (Data Analytics is the easiest in my opinion) in a good university

After graduation, he can apply for an OPT and stay in the US for 3 years From then on, he could get sponsored by his employer (although it is a lottery, I would say 33% chance each year) and get an H1B visa. This way he could stay in the US for up to 6 additional years. However, if he does not win this lottery, he will have to leave the US

If he does not win this lottery, he could then enroll into an MBA with a STEM designation (or any masters, but a MBA is preferred for IB), and get an OPT after graduating and stay for 3 more years. Then he could again apply for the H1B lottery  Assuming he wins the H1B lottery and he stays for 6 more years, I'm not sure what happens after that. He could possibly ask his employer to sponsor him a green card, after having worked a considerable amount of time, marry an american citizen or start a business

Assuming he chooses the safest path -> Undergrad (4 yrs) + OPT (3 yrs) + MBA (2 yrs) + OPT (3 yrs) + H1B (3-6 years), that would be 15-18 years in the US. However, unless his employer sponsors his green card or he marries an american citizen, he would have to go back to China once his H1B visa is over

In the UK it is easier, he could go to a top bachelor's or master's. He would get an automatic 2 year visa post-graduation and then ask his employer to sponsor him. There is no lottery in the UK and as far as I know, every foreigner in high finance who has already gotten into a top IB can get sponsored. After 5 years working in the UK, he could ask for residency, "Indefinite Leave to Remain".

Anyway, an additional suggestion for your son is to become fluent in english. Investment banking requires good communication skills and one concern about foreign candidates, especially asians is that their english is not fluent enough, and this does not help them when looking for a job in Investment Banking
