Post-MBA Prospects - Rotational Programs?

I'm currently working on my MBA part-time while working. My pre-MBA experience is an F500 undergrad rotational program for corporate finance. How favorable would that experience be if my target is an MBA FLDP in the same industry but at different company? I would just be cold applying.

Generally I read about people with similar plans who want to pivot into FP&A from different functions/industries, so I'm not sure if my plan would be redundant/unwise for my career. I believe I would have a fine career if I stayed in my current company and I'm on my way to being promoted to manager so I'm just debating whether or not it would be beneficial to my career if I were to make the leap to another company. I know the grass is not always greener and I would be losing my internal network but I also just have the urge to try something different/move around again.

Any advice is much appreciated. Feel free to beat some sense into me if you feel it is necessary too lol
