Profile Evaluation for Masters in Management
Hi all,
I'll be applying to Masters in Management (entry in Fall 2014).
My targets are :
- Cambridge Judge MPhil Management
- LSE MSc International Management (IMEX Program)
- LBS Masters in Management
My profile :
French student, 21 yo, male.
Undergrad :
BA in Political Science in France top 1 PolSci school (Europe top 4-5)
1 year exchange at Johns Hopkins studying mostly international affairs
Average grade 14.33/20, aprox. 3.7 GPA/ 1st honour (according to Cambridge admissions lady)
CGPA while at Hopkins : 3.76 (mostly 300 & 400 level courses)
Grad :
Masters in International Security (double minor in Russia - CIS and Energy) at the same school
Average grade should be around 14.5/20 (3.7 - 3.8 GPA)
Work experience :
Part-time internship during 1 semester at a corporate foundation founded by industrial groups, mostly for the defense industry. Worked on a study of international NGO's and monitoring of relevant defense-related issues.
6 months full time internship at the n°1 European (arguably n°1 in the world) aeronautics/defence firm working on international strategy.
Extra-curricular :
Was the group manager for a student group project for the foundation where I interned. Organized meetings, coordinated student's personal tasks, supervized expert interviews (at ministries or consulting firms), did the oral presentation of the final report.
Speak French, English and Russian (limited proficiency in the latter).
Taking the GMAT in September, scoring around 650 for now (just started).
Career Goal / Justification for the Master in Management :
Want to work in strategy for the aeronautics/defense industry. Already have a strong defense/politics background, need to get some business & strategy education.
Thanks for the answers !
