Honestly UT is great. Seems to have been pushing lots of IB guys and gals.

Some people will hate some of these colleges for a reason, but we can all agree they have OCR processes.

Cornell
Columbia
UCLA
NYU
Indiana Bloomington
USC
UC Berkeley
Emory
Dartmouth
Brown
UChicago
JHU
UVA
Georgetown
Boston College
Northwestern University
Middlebury
Williams College
Amherst
Notre Dame
UNC
Rice

When transferring make sure to know the culture of the college you are going and that you will be able to succeed. Good luck!

Atrocious list, the only schools you should consider transferring to from UT are:

Ivies
Stanford
MIT
Duke
UChicago
Northwestern
Georgetown

The other schools are not worth it in terms of a social life perspective and some only offer a very tiny boost in recruiting (and others are worse than UT). Also, don’t bother transferring to a public (Michigan, Virginia, etc) because you’d be in zero clubs and have zero connections when you need both at a state school to recruit well.

Lol @ getting MS'ed by people whose schools I left off of the list. Please use critical thinking and try and refute what I said instead of mindlessly slinging MS.

I think you had quite a bit of redundancy with the previous list, you just put “ivies” instead of listing them out lol. As for not including BC/Amherst/Middlebury or other LACs, they can obviously be great places to recruit out of (more committed alumni base, intimate academic environment, less competitive) but if OP got BHP assuming they like undergrad business a lot.

Social aspect is largely subjective and not everyone likes big state schools.

Thank you so much! This is very helpful. Would it be really hard to join clubs/get connections if I entered the school as a sophomore?
