Recruiting for L.A. hedge funds and asset management
Aside from PIMCO, are there other L.A. hedge funds and asset management firms that recruit at top east coast MBA programs?

any idea how many farallon hires from columbia mba?
there's also a distressed hedge fund in L.A. called canyon ranch capital (i think that's the name but not sure) that mainly recruits harvard JD/MBA students.
I don't know how many it hires but they definitely have summer analysts for MBA's
Capital Group is the big one - H/S/W/Chicago/Columbia, but mostly H/S. TCW - not sure where they recruit. Probably the common characters. Oaktree - H/S(/W) but not a formal program
Is it possible to get a job as an analyst at a decent sized hedge fund in los angeles (>5 billion) coming out of undergrad at a target (dartmouth)? Does it come down to how well you can network?
