Rejected from my university’s investment program

I go to a non target that has a very prestigious investment fund that also competes in national competitions (always top 3). I recently applied and got rejected. This summer I will internship at a Fortune 500 tech company in Silicone Valley and in the 2025 summer I got an IB internship with a reputable MM bank in SF. You can also only join my schools investment program for you junior and senior year so for my sophomore year I got in touch with the directors to become a lab assistant with the program so I have also been doing this. All things considered I figured I would have a somewhat easy time of getting into my own schools program so it came to a suprise to me when I was rejected. I also was not given a reason why but the only thing I can think of is my GPA which is a 3.0 due to issues I was dealing with early freshman year but I have done a lot to remedy that year and even made Deans list last semester and this semester I have all As. This investment program was supposed to be my chance to gain financial modeling and excel skills to prepare myself for IB so now I am a little unsure what to do. Does anyone have any advice or was in similar situations?
