Ryerson (renamed as TMU) Coop Program Worth The $3500?

Upcoming sophmore who is part of their business school under the bcom program. Right now I am debating whether I should be part of the coop program and pay the fee (about $500 per term totaling to $3500) or just look for jobs on my own. To my understanding, they state that "we have exclusive job postings from firms" but I am skeptical on how credible that really is. If anyone has any insight into the coop program for someone wanting to break into IB from this non-target school, it would be greatly appreciated.

I’m an upcoming first years student at TRSM (Ryerson)

Sorry to ask but you did you attend to Ryerson ? I mean how could you land two internships in current job market in Canada?
It sounds like a miracle to me

I would be humbled by your kindness if you would let me know the process that how you got the internships without co-op
