I don't think it's a clear-cut choice, obviously Cornell is better "branding" outside of the finance world, but UMich Ross is up there with the top schools as a finance/IB target... Cornell is an excellent school but it's not like MF PE programs are coming to your doorstep for OCR.

if someone really wants the fun school experience and still top finance career prospects Ross is a great choice.

 

Okay Ross has similar IB recruiting to Cornell... who cares??

The Cornell brand will get you farther in life 10/10 times if you want to go to grad school, decide to change fields, go into startups, tech, etc.

Taking Ross over Cornell is like taking NYU Stern over Princeton or MIT because NYU Stern has slightly better IB recruiting
