Scored 770 on GMAT... Retake?

I know people will throw banana shit on me for this question, but I am being honest and not trolling. I appreciate in advance all advice!

For my last 3 practice exams, I got 780, 780, and 800. For 2 of those exams, I finished with 5-15 minutes left for both Q and V. On two of those exams, I got perfect V scores.

On the day of the exam, I had 1-2 questions on Quant that I found difficult and had to take semi-guesses on. These two questions put me back a bit on timing and I had to hurry up a bit for the last 10 questions. I finished with 3 minutes left, but felt rushed. On Verbal, I had 10 minutes left and felt fine, but did not get a perfect score.

Note I am only applying for H/S. In the end, I got 770, with 50 Q / 45 V. Should I re-take the exam in the next week to try to get an 780? All else equal, does a 10-20pt increase in GMAT score, from 770 to 790, materially increase odds of getting an interview?

Don’t retake it.

Now for some advice: Not sure if you are needing validation or if you are actually struggling to answer this question for yourself (the value of retaking). If the latter, and take it with a grain of salt as I don’t know you other than this one post, I would be concerned about your ability to apply common sense and be practical to answer a question like this. Life is going to give you much harder problems (and maybe you have lived through this and know this already), where the answer isn’t as clear and you are going to need to work through that. Use common sense, look at the data (percentile score, average of these institutions, etc) and make an informed ROI decision, if it isn’t crystal clear then you are doing it wrong.

I'm hoping it's just validation and a flex rather than an honest question.

OP, by the way, your GMAT should never be the strongest part of your application, and I'm concerned for you if it is.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

Weird flex but okay. It’s Friday man have a beer

Few players recall big pots they have won, strange as it seems, but every player can remember with remarkable accuracy the outstanding tough beats of his career.

Obviously this is a troll but even for HSW a 770 is equal to an 800 and in some ways better because it shows you're not some perfectionist. I was told this by students, interviewers, colleagues, and admissions consultants (I had a 770 so maybe they wanted to make me feel better).

But I know this is a troll even more so because they want to retake the exam in the next week for apps...well, the next deadline for H/S is September, so where would there be a rush?

You can retake the exam as many times as you want but someone like you will never make it past the interview.
