Seeking advice on MSF career path
So I come from an engineering background, but, I've recently developed a very strong interest in finance and economics for my minor. I've started to participate in some stock trading competitions and read up on different areas of finance. Would it make sense to accept a FT engineering related offer if my ultimate intention is to work in finance? I'm graduating in 2014 and all of my internships have been in engineering and not finance.
I'm not a great source on this subject (however consider doing MSF myself someday), but it sounds to me that you'd be more apt and qualified to apply for MFE or MSQF (masters in quant finance basically, whatever the stupid acronym be). And I think that engineering internship experience would be great for getting into a good program.
