SFU to Ivey?

Hi, I graduated from high school in June. I wish I could go to Ivey or Queens but my supplement is horrible and my grade 12 average isn't that competitive. I was stupid in high school; I thought getting straight A's would be good enough for any university I decided to go to.

My grade 12 average: 91%

Supplement:
-Absolutely no extracurricular activities throughout all my years in high school.
-no leadership roles
-105 volunteer hours:

-100 of those hours are from dealing with clients in the registration sector of a local food bank. Accumulated these hours after graduation, over a period of 4 months
-the other 5 hours are from volunteering at two environmental events
-(none of these volunteer hours were accumulated during my years in high school)

Basically, I want to transfer to Ivey/Queens in year 3 after I get good grades and build up a great supplement at a lower tier university, like SFU. I'm not entirely sure if Ivey or Queens would accept someone from SFU business though. I haven't really heard anything about SFU's business school, and I don't even think SFU is nationally known that well. I would go to UBC's business school but my supplement isn't even strong enough for that. So my question is: do you think Ivey or Queens would accept a transfer student from SFU (assuming good grades + strong supplement)?

To those who don't know about SFU: do you know of any universities (seen as good in the eyes of Ivey/Queens) that would accept me with my bad supplement?

Definitely Ivey might be possible if you have a GPA of 85%+ and good ECs. There are people from lesser-known universities in Ontario not at SFU Beedie's caliber that transfer into Ivey given they are the top of the class. Be aware of transfer requirements because I remember you need a course equivalent to Business 2257 in UWO. Your HS EC shouldn't matter too much when you apply at the end of second year if you have stellar EC by then.

I would simply say you worked part-time at a local food bank because want to give back to the community. I wouldn't mention the hours or the work unless people ask because they're probably thinking you sorted cans with other believers in a cold warehouse (I've volunteered at a food bank before) and are not thinking that you did paperwork.

If you can't get into the business faculty of an Eastern business school like Queens/Ivey/UT, you really won't stand at chance getting into UBC, which is the only good school in Western Canada - it's a numbers game.

SFU uses a bellcurve grading scheme so you should be able to score quite high while exploring extracurricular. Find something you enjoy outside of school and become an expert in it and the supplementary will take care of itself.

Actually I disagree. SFU bell curves the marks and usually it results in a lower mark for many people. But of course, if OP is a baller, he can still get high marks under the bell curve system.

Make sure you do ECs with leadership roles (2-3 very involved instead of 5 joke executive positions). Also, UBC Sauder is one of the weird programs that is easier to get into after the first year. I know many people that didn't get in first round are waiting to go in. Even ppl from Langara College go into Sauder so high GPA +EC is gonna be easy to get in. It depends you want to do as a career and where.
