Suffolk vs Villanova

Hey guys,

I am an international student and have been accepted to the MSA program at Suffolk and the MSF program at Villanova. I missed the enrollment at Villanova in May so I deferred my enrollment till May 2016. The school said that they will re-evaluate my application to determine my scholarship if I attend the school in May next year. I am interested in both finance and accounting. MSA or MSF is not a big deal for me. I have two options now:
1. Attend the MSA program at Suffolk this Fall. This school only give me 60% tuition scholarship.
2. Wait until May 2016 to enroll Villanova MSF program or apply to a better MSF/MSA program.

What do you guys think abt the MSA program at Suffolk? Is it worth to attend? I Which option should be better for me?

Thanks guys!

Being an international is going to make getting a job tough no matter what. I like that Suffolk is giving you a lot of money, but getting a job is what is most inportant. If you are dead set on Boston and have a network established then Suffolk might be an option. Otherwise id go with Nova. Maybe ask the adcoms for some help reducing the tuition or something.

I went to Nova btw. Just wanting to fully disclose.

it's gonna hurt if MSF is not done quick enough - these are mostly for fresh undergrads.

Even with Villanova (better than Suffolk to me), you will still run into Visa problems - a good friend of mine got his master's out of an elite state school (think UCLA, Berkeley, Virginia type), and he had 5-10 people tell him that he would have had the offer if he doesn't have Visa issues. It's tough. Plus you got to do the lottery for H1B.

Better make this year worth somehow for you. Don't leave a blank on the resume, it'll come back and bite you.
