Surface Pro vs XPS 13 vs Carbon X1

Hello everyone, I'm an incoming freshman and I'm debating on what laptop to buy for undergrad. I'm currently using a mac but I know it won't cut it for excel and other programs so I'm in the market. I have three picks at the moment and I'm wondering what everyone would recommend. Price isn't really a consideration I'm just looking for versatility and performance.

Xps 13 - 2 in 1. It’ll be helpful for note taking in class (buy dell’s stylus as well) and will have the computing power you need. It also looks really good.

Would honestly advise you to look at HP Spectre 2-1. I have used two versions of this and it is very powerful and sleek at the same time. Also doesn't weigh a lot so easy to carry around in the bag. I had a dell before I got this one and that was pretty buggy tbh. My spectre doesn't lag at all and is one of the quickest at booting up. is probably the closest you can get to a mac in the windows world from a design/performance pov.

I bought a Dell XPS 13 at the beginning of the year for all the PC related stuff I have to do and recently got an X1 for work. I prefer the Lenovo so much more. The XPS, despite all the great reviews, has just never worked that well for me, just little bugs here and there, I don't love the keyboard layout, I regret buying it to be honest. The X1 on the other hand works great. I found my old T430 from 10 years ago when cleaning out and honestly that thing still works great as well. Can't go wrong with Lenovo in my opinion, especially the X1 series or the T series.
