Transfer to Emory for IB?
Im currently a rising junior at a decent undergrad b-school. Unfortunately, did not get into our flagship investment banking club/program, and therefore would consider the school a very low semi/non-target. Applied to transfer to a few schools and got into Emory CAS for econ. Would likely have to graduate 6 months later, but could therefore re-recruit for Summer 27'. Have some experience but nothing stellar and am a bit worried about the opportunities outside of Goizueta being very limited. Could anyone shed any light on the reputation of Emory CAS within banking, and whether transferring to re-recruit is worth it, or whether I'm better off staying and trying to land something solid full time.
Emory has a good reputation and placements within Atlanta IB. If you just want to land an IB role, then I would go for it
Do you believe that not being in the undergrad business program and having to recruit as an econ major will be a significant hinderance, or does the relative prestige that Emory possesses negate that?
no
Yes plenty of people recruit from Econ, you will be fine. Especially with the name brand on Emory will help you. Just make sure you supplement your resume with financial modeling experience + accounting. WSP has some courses you can complete and put on your resume that’s what I did.
