Transferring from ug bschool to economics
Hi everyone,
I am currently a sophomore international student in usc marshall.
I don't really like the environment in ug business school. The curriculum includes many stuff such as marketing or leadership which I don't enjoy that much. The curve is also notoriously high, average grades are B, a lot of people are getting 80s with a B only because materials are easy but grading policies are strict. My grades in economics are much higher.
I am thinking of switching my major to economics/mathematics and I would like to know whether there would be a big difference in terms of recruiting.
Also, in terms of recruitment, is it ok for me to stay in business school, following economics curriculum and utilizing the support of business school but officially switch my major to economics after I receive a full time job offer?
Thanks everyone.
What type of industry are you looking to enter? Are you planning to stay in the United States?
