Michigan and NYU aren’t that high. Not saying they’re bad schools. But based purely on prestige they’re not on the same level as Brown and Cornell. A school may place well but that doesn’t make it prestigious
In my experience most people under the age of 30 or so are equally impressed by the stern undergrad name and cornell. brown maybe a little higher. of course in the big picture u are right
Dartmouth and Columbia need to be between Yale/MIT and such and UChicago/Duke/NYU. If you want to get even more granular put Yale/MIT > Columbia > Dartmouth > UChicago/Duke/NYU.
