UC Berkeley To Not Consider SAT/ACT Scores for Two Years

Referencing WSO's 3rd favorite topic behind ranking jobs and arguing about affirmative action, UC Berkeley is choosing to not consider standardized testing for at least two years for in-state applicants.

I'm sure more colleges will be following suit especially with COVID preventing any prospective students from taking standardized tests at least for the immediate future. Is this the future of college selection, or will this be a temporary procedure due to COVID? Will CollegeBoard go back to the drawing board and start asking how many piano tuners are in Chicago and whether hot dogs are sandwiches?

Discuss.
