UChicago advice

Hey guys, just got accepted to UChicago I'll be starting next year. Im interested in trying to recruit for IB or the buy side, but also just wanted to see if you have any advice. Do students even place into buyside out of Uchicago undergrad, and if so, anything you recommend? From what I gather, I should take some easy core classes to keep the GPA up. Any recommendations on course registration and what to pick. I also plan on doing bizcon and joining some clubs like TBC or UIBG; any recommendations on how to get in as I heard there's heavy comp. Do they even help? Any other clubs worth joining?

Also im not trying to spend four years sitting in the library so are any frats worth rushing? Any other words of wisdom on having a social life? Thanks guys
