UChicago Undergrad for NYC?

Hi, so I am thinking of changing my UChicago application to a binding EDII. I live in NYC and want to do banking there as well. Are there any UC grads who can tell me if it is good for east coast banking or mainly Chicago?

Relax and stop getting your panties in a bunch - kid just asked a question.

Not everyone comes from circles that are in know about stuff like this. Even if you look up things online, it is always a good idea to to get direct answers from people in the industry. He's trying to do that on WSO and here you are lambasting him for asking a valid question. 

 

UChicago has a pretty strong presence in NYC. They do send a fair number of kids to Chicago but if you want to work in NYC, you shouldn't have much of an issue there.

I didn't go to UChicago but there were a fair number of kids from there at my bank.

You'll be fine, doing well at UChicago will pretty much give you the option to do whatever you want.

Chicago is a fun city too, the undergrad rep it has of being a terrible place to go to school is a little overplayed in my opinion. It's obviously not going to be as fun as a state school and there's no real sports presence, but you're in Chicago. Tons of good bars/restaurants/nightlife if you're looking for that.
