UIUC, Fordham, Penn-State, NYU Shanghai, OSU, or SyracuseU for undergrad? Been/will be accepted to all
Which one of these schools opens up the most doors to high finance on Wall Street-either through reputation, alum base, campus clubs/organizations, transferability to actual targets, location, or a combination of all? Cost doesn't matter, just wondering which is the absolute best choice considering each school's future prospectives as far as BB/Elite Boutique placement go.
No H/W? Just kys...
huh?
Penn or Fordham
thanks
Fordham
thanks
NYU Shanghai?
They call it University of Indians and University of Chinese for a reason lmao
NYU Shanghai then transfer to main campus or one year at Penn State and submit transfer apps to targets
Very difficult to transfer campuses at nyu without a critical reason, so I'm definitely thinking Penn or Fordham and transfer if possible
Whichever one you will have the most fun at. It's a total crapshoot to get into IB from any of those schools so you might as well have some fun along the way.
went to fordham now at bb in nyc its slept on 100%
That's what I was thinking, I saw a ton of BB Fordham people on LinkedIn (almost comparable to the targets) and they weren't just diversity either. Also saw they started getting some prominent OCR 2019 onwards based on the posts I've seen on here
yes im confident in arguing that we place equally to say a Boston College / Villanova / Colgate /
We have OCR at Barclays, Mizuho, BNP Paribas, Stifel, Credit Suisse, Cowen, Bank of America, Citi
not gonna kid myself and say its amazing placement but its truly not bad at all. I was in a groupchat with like 12 of us recruiting for IB and i think 10/12 of us got it.
hope this helps. any questions lmk
Fordham. You can get into BB directly, and it's not a bad platform to transfer out of either. NYC is also great to gather work experience.
helpful, thanks
You might also want to consider your nationality and visa requirements for the region the Uni is based in. E.g. I am based in UK and sometimes visa problems can arise. From what I gather, it’s the same with people who need a visa to work in US.
hadn't thought about that, thanks
