UK 2:1 vs 1st for US MBA applications
Hi there
I’m a UK undergrad soon to start as a Commercial Banking Analyst at a top US balance sheet bank (Wells/Citi/BofA).
I just got my degree (2:1) and I’m very close to a first class, and have a penalty I think I could appeal to maybe get it over the line but it’s likely to be a very strenuous and long process.
My question is how are undergraduate grades assessed in MBA applications? Will academics I.e a 2:1 vs a 1st make a significant difference or is it more the work experience you have that they would consider?
It is one of my career goals to eventually work in the US so any tips or comments on the above would be very helpful.
Thanks
