UMich vs. NYU vs. Penn State for Undergraduate Business
So I was accepted in to NYU Stern, University of Michigan (not sure about Ross yet), and Penn State (These are my top three). So NYU was my first choice, but the total cost is 71k a year, Michigan is 52k a year, and Penn State is 32k a year. With only my college fund as contribution from my family ill leave NYU with 170k in debt, Michigan with 80k in debt, and Penn State with 30k left over (These are mostly estimates). NYU is considered stronger in Finance than Michigan and I wasn't a fan of living 8 hours away in Michigan, which is even colder than PA and NY. I would really like to work in investment banking, private equity, or hedge funds out of college and I have heard from both you and my relatives that MBAs are becoming less popular. A few people have told me take the debt at NYU and others have told me go to Penn State and save the money. So I would major in finance.

I'd go NYU for the best chance at banking, or Penn State if you want to take the safer route financially. I usually advocate to take the best chance at the best jobs, however 200k is a massive difference between the two.
