'under review' vs 'wait-listed'

Hello fellow chimps

What is the difference between my MBA application status to an MBA school still being 'under review' - many weeks post interview and the status being 'wait listed'?

I want to know which status type is closer in terms of being 'DINGED'!

I've heard different views on this.

Cheers

Wait list is closer to being dinged, since you know you aren't accepted immediately. Under review just means that you haven't heard whether you are accepted, waitlosted or dinged yet.
