Undergrad finance advice and S&T questions

I'm interested in getting into S&T and am still in high school. WIth college applications coming up, I need some help deciding which school will be best to help me get on Wall St. Ideally, like most kids I want to work at a BB firm. My primary interest and most likely to use Early decision on is NYU Stern which is heard is a great school for finance and allows for year-round networking. Unfortunately, for me Ivies are out of question given the competitiveness and my HS stats. Other schools I am interested in are UPenn Wharton (i know its an Ivy but worth a shot in the dark), UMich Ross, UVA Darden, UNC Kenan, UMass isenberg (safety), maybe Carengie Mellon. I have done preliminary research on each, but if there is anybody who has more knowledge or has attended one of these schools could maybe provide "inside" information on recruiting/getting a job in the finance field after school that would be awesome. For example, what is the alumni network like in each college, what is recruiting presence, what resources are available to land an internship, advantages and disadvantages of the school etc.
Also, if anybody has any advice that you wish you knew when you were in college/high school regarding getting on Wall St. in general that would be really helpful.
Also, on a side note, is there a lot of upward mobility in S&T or do most just transfer to buy side (hedge funds and stuff)? and what is the work week like? (ive heard numbers ranging from 60-90 hours a week so just looking for some clarification) and is pay performance based or is there a set salary with a performance based bonus?
Sorry for all the questions, but thanks in advance for any help!! :)
