University of Houston Commodity Competition

Hi all! This coming September (8th-Mixer, 9th-Competition), Bauer Capital Group - the University of Houston's Undergraduate fund, is hosting the "Undergraduate Commodity Competition” (UCC). This is an Energy/Commodities focused competition that focuses on allowing students to demonstrate their talents by pitching equities / commodity trade ideas to a panel of industry judges.

We believe that these types of competitions are the best way for students to apply what they are learning in their finance courses while also networking/recruiting with top tier firms. The firms that are currently committed to sponsorship & will be present at the event are as follows:
BP
P66
Mercuria
Castleton Commodities
Jefferies
ConocoPhillips

In addition to these committed firms, there are some companies that we are currently in talks with to be present at the event, and we are finalizing sponsorship information with!

Regarding travel arrangements we are pleased to say that we will be offering free lodging in Houston for the duration of the event for any team/members out of state.

We would love for students that may be interested in competing at the event or any professionals interested in attending the mixer the day before, to please dm me (as WSO is not letting me post links) and I can share further details.

Please feel free to dm me in case of any questions, happy to get on a call!
