UT BHP vs NYU BPE

Hello all!

I was recently accepted into both the UT Business Honors Program and the NYU Business and Political Economy program. I'm pretty torn between these two options and I was hoping for some advice. I don't qualify for any sort of financial aid so the price would be around $30k a year for UT and $71k for NYU. This $41k difference in price is a big issue for me and I was wondering if anyone has any input about the BPE program and if it's worth the extra cost.

Thanks so much!

Dude, go to UT. better college life, better city, better cost of life living, comparable recruiting, 40k difference PER YEAR. Unless you're wealthy and have an NYC boner, this isn't a question.

In my opinion it comes down to which experience you want to have. Do you want the big city experience or the campus experience?

In my opinion, the big city experience is a lot more fun when you're making +$100k as a 22 year old than when you're making negative $71k a year as an 18-22 year old. You will have plenty of opportunities to make it to NYC if you go to UT BHP if that's your goal. If this was me making the decision, I would take UT hands down just based on the college experience I wanted. Add up +$200k of additional debt and it's not even something I would bother considering.

Edit: The $200k is from the $160k in additional tuition and (by my rough calculations) $40k in additional interest. Add to that how much more expensive it is to live in NYC (groceries, food, bars) and it gets even worse.
