What advice would you give to a younger self just starting college?

Post mainly for experienced Consulting/IB/PE/HF people but obviously every advice is helpful.

Background: Started bachelor's this September in one of the leading universities in Europe. Well positioned in terms of Finance and IB networking events.GPA is quite good, but I personally think could be better. Joined some relevant student orgs, one of them being a case club where I analyze various companies and industries in terms of strategy, financials, and etc.

Looking into different career opportunities (after completing Master's obv) and especially into Consulting/IB but more on the IB side. I'm also planning to learn the local language bc it will just give more options but im told it's not really necessary.

What advice would you give your younger self given all the experience you have that could possibly help me in some way? No experience is the same but ig I just want to see if there are any particular trends of getting the first steps to breaking into IB/Consulting and further down my career. Would prefer if it would be based on experiences from the continental Europe but any input is appreciated.Thanks.
