The program is rigorous and demands a ton of work.

The main courses (4 of them) are what matters for the Dean's List and course classification (slight simplification) and they are assessed over the first two terms. There are assignments, much less during the first term so you can focus on recruiting and getting job, then it picks up during the second term. Still, the majority of points are gained through four 3 hour exams at the end of the second term. Once you are done with them the last term is purely for electives which frankly don't matter as much so just pick fun subjects or use that time to party because the first two terms will keep you busy plenty.

I would highly recommend, great network, insanely smart and driven classmates, great career outcomes, amazing brand (not just finance) and overall studying in Oxford is a dream. The flip side is that you will have to work much harder for school work than other similar programs (LBS MFA, HEC MFin, LSE MFin, etc.)

Yes there are still exams for these but they really matter a lot less for the course classification due to the weight they are given so no one takes them that seriously. These exams (or assignments) take place throughout the last term, and there the mode of evaluation and timing really depends on the specific elective. They are also much easier as a lot of them are MBA courses

The strategy there is really to take the easiest classes possible so you can maybe try to bump up your course classification following the main exams and/or have enough free time to party/do whatever else you want to do
