What schools do not require the GMAT?

Historically I’ve been a terrible test-taker and the GMAT is proving no different. That said, I perform at the top of my class and generally get amazing feedback from everybody I work with. So I’m trying to figure out my best strategy for circumventing GMAT process. Brown degree with a 3.84 GPA So I know I can perform well in school with adequate time to study and prepare for test; I just am not good, and never have been good, at taking standardized tests! Any input appreciated.

Also, I did get some special treatment with brown application and admissions, and I received a scholarship but I don’t have any mba connections so I’m on my own.

thanks

I think you're going to be hard pressed to find a T20 MBA program that offers a GMAT waiver or does not even require it. Schools across the T20 did make exception for this year's round 3 and it's possible some will continue to do so for round 1 of next year's MBA application cycle -- although I doubt this trend would continue.

IIRC UNC offers a GMAT waiver along with many other schools outside the T20 (Babson, Ohio, Michigan State) and many quality EMBA programs do not require the exam either.

All depends on your goals and what score you think you could achieve on the GMAT if you were forced to take it. I have friends that have gotten into T10 programs a few notches below the coveted 700+ club. Given your quant background it may not be a deal breaker if other aspects of your application are strong!
