When the Fuck do you Do the GMAT?

Analyst 1 in a Tier 1 BB in London... Assuming my goal is 222 (2 years IB, 2 years PE then business school) when exactly am I supposed to have the time to do the GMAT/GRE?

Tried to have a bit of a life during university so didn't do it in my final year. Could anyone share some insights? Do you just do it during your garden leave or something? Surely, you don't do it during your banking years?

What? You need the GMAT for b school. GMAT also offers an online version where you can take it from home. Why would the GMAT not matter?

I did it during second-semester senior year but it really only took 1-1.5 months of diligent studying. I know some people do it between IB and PE or just study slowly when they have time in their analyst/associate years. Sounds obvious but what other choice do you have.
