Will an enemy school help me?
I am a student athlete at Amherst, and this summer I have started networking and whatnot. Beyond networking with team alum and school alum, would it be a bad idea to reach out to some other NESCAC alumni? I was thinking of trying to find some Williams student athlete alumni, but I didn't know if they would be willing to help, considering that on the field, we are rival schools. Besides that, we have a similar education and end goal of being a LAC, so what do you guys think?
No harm in trying. In my experience fellow NESCACs are pretty open to helping people from other schools, but it probably depends on the person. I don’t think anyone from my NESCAC cared about sports rivalries at all and anyone who doesn’t take a networking call solely bc they have this life long hatred of their D3 random ass football team is so petty it’s funny.
