Would I have a shot down the road?

So I'm still an undergrad right now, but I'm trying to gauge where I will likely be 10 years down the road, or at least where I would like to be.

My first concern is my current GPA. My freshman year, I had a family problem and I fell into academic probation, I kind of bounced back my first semester sophomore year (still on shaky ground though) but since then my gpa has been going steadily up. Would this come back to bite me in b-school admissions?

I was strongly considering doing an MPH after graduation in healthcare management, provided I get a solid GPA here at a good school, would it give me a strong boost for b-school admissions?

I have trouble telling you where I'll be tomorrow, let alone in 10 years. Focus on what you can do to improve yourself today. But GPA reqs for B-school aren't a huge deal if you can make up for it with GMAT or WE. Aim as high as you can obviously, but about a 3.0 you will be fine (below medians, but not at the wtf range).

I repeat myself a lot, but a low GPA is only a barrier if you dwell on it. I'm not saying it doesn't make it harder, but a low GPA certainly isn't insurmountable.

I'll give you a short, anecdotal story... My buddy had a low GPA (under 3.0) in a soft major from a "middle of the pack" type school. He spent 4 years working a boutique consulting job after college, living at home, and saving his money. He crushed the GMAT (740) and got accepted to HBS. Fast forward to today: He has no debt because he saved his money while living at home and he has a killer job in the low-mid six figure range as a first year.
