WUSTL MSF Admission

Hi,

I applied to the Master of Science in Finance program at Washington University in St. Louis during Round 2. For those students who were admitted in Round 1, did you have to go through an interview? Thanks.

Hey sdecon11

Yes you do need to go through an interview and the admissions counselor will email you to set up a time for a Skype interview.

When does Round 2 finish?

Hey kuaerodsp,

Thanks for the info. It says on the website that interviews are conducted at the discretion of the admissions committee so I wasn't quite sure whether all admitted applicants were interviewed. Anyway, Round 2 decisions come out at the end of March and I have not gotten the request for an interview.

Does anyone know if the interview is still a prerequisite to admission?

Since decisions are supposed to be issued "Notification on or about: March 15, 2013", is it safe to assume that no interview invitation by sometime next week= no admission?

Similiar here. Above their GPA & GMAT, 1 year full time experience (small BD firm), and graduated at 20 with econ degree from UF. Thought it would be a close thing either way.

Just out of curiosity, did you look at UF's MSF at all?

I did, but it's only offered as a combined degree to current undergrads. Probably should have done it when I had the chance (all my friends are in the program and swear by it), but I decided to graduate early and work instead.
